Indonesian Soundscapes

Musical compositions created from environmental sounds recorded in
Indonesia, presented and introduced by New Zealand composer Jack Body.

In a series of electro-acoustic works entitled SUARA ('sound', 'voice')
Jack Body has created portraits of the Indonesian soundscape, sampling
environmental sounds such as the cries of frogs, birds and monkeys,
children's sound-producing toys, the cries of street hawkers, the
singing of street musicians
